Air Force chopper crash-lands near Badrinath during military drill


A helicopter of the Indian Air Force crashed today during a military drill near the Mana Pass in Uttarakhand. However, No casualties have been reported in the accident so far.

The Mi17 V5 helicopter crashed quickly after it took off from Ghastoli helipad close to Mana Pass. The helicopter had two officers of the IAF and jawans of the 12 Grenadiers of the Indian Army on board.

The mishap occurred when the armed force and the IAF were participating in a joint military practice between the Mana Pass and Badrinath. Today’s penetrate was a piece of week-long war practice mutually directed by the armed force and the flying corps along the India-China fringe.
