Kerala University will release the admit cards of Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) on October 20. The exam will be held on November 5 and 19.
The students can register for the examination through official website, the link for which is www.keralapareekshabhavan.in.
The test will be conducted by Kerala government to choose the candidates for various vacant posts of Teacher in government schools of Kerala state.
Separate test will be conducted to select teachers for the below mentioned categories:
- Category I (lower primary classes)
- Category II (upper primary classes)
- Category III (high school classes)
- Category IV (for language teachers – Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu (up to UP classes), specialist teachers (art and craft) and Physical Education teachers
Teacher for lower primary classes (category I):
Students must qualify Higher secondary/senior secondary (or its equivalent) exams with atleast 45 per cent marks and two-year Trained Teachers' Certificate (TTC) or two-year Diploma in Elementary Education
Higher secondary/senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 per cent marks and four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) or two-year diploma in Education (Special Education)
Teacher for upper primary classes (category II):
BA/BSc/BCom with minimum 45 per cent marks and two-year diploma in Elementary EducationTrained Teachers' Certificate (TTC) or one-year Bachelor in Education (BEd)
Higher secondary/senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 per cent marks and four-year Bachelor in Elementary Education or BA/BSc/BEd
