‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ Actress Swara Bhaskar is all set to begin shooting for film Veere Di Wedding. The film features Kareena Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor.
Apart from it, the actress has unveiled an online campaign against mob killing on Change.org. She has ordered a prohibition on cow vigilante mob making a request for the execution of a Manav Suraksha Kanoon (MASUKA).
‘Tanu Weds Manu’ fame Swara asserted that, “She can’t permit killing to take place as she belongs from India.”
Swara Bhaskar was last featured in film Anaarkali of Aarah.
Swara asserted in her plea, “I am an actress in the Indian Film Industry. But as a conscientious citizen of India, cannot allow these lynchings to take place… I, along with thousands of young Indians, stood up against this public menace in protests that were recently held across 20 cities of the world.”
“We, together, said #NotInMyName, to such violence. Next day, PM Modi issued a statement condemning the killings in the name of gau raksha (cow protection). But even after vigilante violence has continued.” She said.
Swara finished her plea asserting that, “It was instance for Prime Minister Modi to “walk his talk” as the youth of this country has chosen the first PM born after independence”
