Aamir Khan will gift wrestler Geeta Phogat her bridal outfit for her wedding, says the on-screen character's spokespersn. Aamir, 51, is preparing for the arrival of his upcoming film Dangal, which is a biopic on Geeta's dad Mahavir Singh Phogat. before that he will go to Geeta's wedding.
Dangal chronicles how Mahavir Phogat, a wrestler himself, coached his little girls Geeta and Babita, who went ahead to win medals at the Commonwealth Games.
Aamir's representative affirmed that the performer will actually go to Geeta's wedding on November 20 at her town of Balali in Haryana. He will also gift Geeta her outfit, usually given by the father of the bride, and take personal interest in the wedding arrangements.
The performer is specifically arranging presents for the Phogat family and for the groom's side as he is keen to participate in the celebrations as a family member.
Aamir Khan, who is extremely close to the Phogats, has been emotionally attached to Geeta and her sister Babita for the last two years while shooting Dangal. In the film, on-screen characters Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra play the part of the Phogat sisters.
A few years back, Aamir Khan went on the wedding of the son of an autodriver he befriended in Varanasi while going around the nation promoting his film 3 Idiots.
Aamir plays Mahavir Phogat both as a young and an old man, putting on 25 extra kilos and afterward shedding it during recording.
The trailer and posters of Dangal have created great interest.

The first melody from the film, Haanikaarak Bapu, discharged last weekend.
Aamir Khan's Dangal, directed by Nitesh Tiwari also stars Sakshi Tanwar. The film discharges on December 23.
Dangal is the second wrestling film to discharge this year, after Salman Khan's Sultan. It will be Aamir's first discharge since 2014's PK.
