On-screen character Aamir Khan’s Dangal released in China earlier and has turned into the highest grossing non-English film in the nation by gathering over Rs. 750 crore. Dangal’s successful spin at China’s film industry made it the second Indian film to cross Rs. 1,000 crore-mark around the world, the first being S S Rajamouli’s epic Baahubali: The Conclusion. Dangal and Baahubali 2’s worldwide film industry tally is nearly neck-to-neck but Aamir Khan said that the two movies shouldn’t be compared, reports. “I am truly happy that Dangal is getting appreciated in China and all over the world. I don’t think we should compare two films. Dangal and Baahubali 2 are great in their own space and above all both movies are Indian movies which are making its mark all over the world. I am extremely glad for Baahubali too,” said Aamir Khan.
Aamir Khan included that he hasn’t viewed Baahubali 2 yet however he has heard just great things about the film. “Baahubali 2 is an extremely successful film. I haven’t watched it yet however I am hearing a lot of good stuff about it from everybody around me. I might want to congratulate Rajamouli and his entire team,” said Aamir, reports.
Baahubali 2’s Hindi version broke almost every box office record Dangal held in India. Baahubali 2 in Hindi is distributed by Karan Johar.
Baahubali: The Conclusion , a fantasy drama film, based in fictional Mahishmathi Kingdom is the story of rivalry, revenge and love. Dangal is a biography of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat (Aamir Khan) who instructed his girl Geeta (played by Fatima Sana Sahikh) and Babita (played by Sanya Malhotra) in his sport. The film releases in India in December 2016.
Baahubali: The Conclusion stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj.
