BHUBANESWAR: In a step aimed to profit more than 5 lakh coal mines laborers the nation over, Aadhaar number would now be connected to their provident reserve and regarded as the PF number.
A choice in such manner was taken at a meeting went to by Directors (Personnel) of all backups of Coal India Limited (CIL), Coal Mines Provident Fund Organization (CMPFO) Commissioner B K Panda and heads of provincial workplaces of CMPFO at Puri on Friday, an authority said.
"It was chosen that Aadhaar number will be dealt with as the Coal Mines Provident Fund number. This proposition is to be actualized with impact from December 25, 2016 which is seen as the Good Governance day," Director (Personnel) of Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL), L N Mishra said.
Coal mines representatives, especially the legally binding laborers connected with through various temporary workers and those in the disorderly division would be profited by the choice, Mr Mishra said.
The meeting additionally chose to make an information base of coal excavators and build up an entrance so that any representative can get to the CMPFO utilizing the Aadhaar number and get points of interest of PF, annuity and status of utilization, Mr Mishra said.
CMPFO additionally plans to give status of case, PF parity, annuity installment through SMS administrations from the Good Governance Day, he said.
Expressing that CIL alone has more than 3.5 lakh laborers, he said all these new measures would profit more than 5 lakh coal mines representatives, principally authoritative specialists.
