A 47-year-old orthopedic specialist of a civil hospital in Gurgaon was arrested from New Delhi on Sunday for purportedly assaulting a patient, police said.
The 44-year-old victim in her protestation to the police on Friday alleged she recently went to Dr Arvind Jindal at Gurgaon civil hospital following pain in her leg which was worked upon by him two years prior, a senior cop said.
Mr Jindal prompted her for a X-ray and when she went to the healing center with the report she was requested that hold up.
At the point when the hospital OPD shut, Mr Jindal took her to his companion in Dwarka on the affection that he would help her land a position in a NGO.
Later, he took her to his flat in southwest Delhi's Dwarka region and assaulted her there, he said, including the specialist also supposedly threatened her of desperate outcomes in the event that she reported the matter to police.
At first, she stayed silent yet approached police on October 7, he said, including the specialist was arrested that day.
"We have led the medical examination of the casualty which affirmed assault," the officer said. A case under section 376 (discipline for assault) of IPC has been enrolled against the accused, he included.
