Nine travelers on board a private bus were burnt alive and about six were harmed when it burst into flames close Harnaaut area of Bihar’s Nalanda area on Thursday, the state police said.
All the harmed were taken to government hospital.
Over twelve travelers got caught in the back side of the transport after flame all of a sudden broke out, said police authorities. The bus was not air-conditioned.
The reason for the fire was being found out, they said.
Bihar Disaster Management Minister Chandrasekhar has reported a pay of Rs. 4 lakh each of the families of the sufferer and guaranteed to give treatment to those sustained burns in the blaze.
