Due To Qatar Dispute, Gas Imports Will Not Be Effected India’s Petronet Says

Petronet LNG said on Monday it didn’t expect any effect on gas supplies from Qatar after Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain disjoined ties with the Gulf Arab state blaming it for supporting supporting terrorism.
“I don’t think there will be any effect on it. We get gas specifically from Qatar via ocean,” R.K. Garg, head of finance at Petronet, disclosed to Reuters when made a request to comment on the planned move to cut relations. Petronet LNG, nation’sĀ greatest gas shipper, purchases 8.5 million tons a time of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Qatar under a long haul contract. It likewise purchases extra volumes from Qatar under spot deals.
