CHENNAI: Eighty scaffolds would be implicit Tamil Nadu at an expense of Rs 159.74 crore, boss pastor Jayalalithaa declared in the get together on Friday.
One extension every will be implicit the Nilgris, Tiruvallur, Vellore and Tiruvannamalai locale. Tiruvarur, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Trichy and Cuddalore areas will get two scaffolds each.
Namakkal, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Tiruppur and Coimbatore regions will get three scaffolds each. Four new extensions every will be inherent Namakkal, Erode, Dindigul and Sivaganga areas. Thanjavur and Salem will get five scaffolds each, and Pudukottai and Tuticorin will get eight extensions each.
Interstates and minor ports division would acquire credit from Nabard to take up the development work of the scaffolds, she said.
The central priest said development of these scaffolds would help 22 lakh individuals living in 472 towns over the state. As the scaffolds are coming up in provincial ranges, individuals there could without much of a stretch transport their produces to the adjacent towns.

Jayalalithaa said 60.16 hectares of area would be obtained in 11 towns – Jujuvadi, Anumappalli Agraharam, Begappalli, Nallur, Eluvappalli, Avallappalli, Kelavarappalli, Chinna Kollu, Betha Kollu and Moranappalli – at an expense of Rs 215 crore to finish the street work.Chengalpet-Tiruporur street, Tambaram – Mudichur – Sriperumbudur street, Kodambakkam-Sriperumbudur street, Wallajahbad – Sunguvarchatram – Keezhacheri street, Sadras-Chengalpet-Kancheepuram – Tiruttani street, Singaperumalkoil Sriperumbudur-Tiruvallur Red Hills street and Tirumazhisai – Oothukkottai street will be extended into four paths. At present they are two-path streets.
Thus, Thorappakkam – Pallavarm and Chennai-Chittoor-Bengaluru streets will be broadened into six-path streets. The development work will be taken up in 141.60km at an expense of Rs 744 crore. Enlarging these streets would lessen clog on the edges of Chennai, she said.
An external ring street will be laid through Omalur – Sankagiri – Tiruchengode – Paramathi to decongest Tharamangalam town. This street will cover a separation of 3.110km, and the task will cost Rs 20 crore.
The second period of ring street development work of Anaippalayam – Malliakarai – Rasipuram – Tiruchengode street will be taken up at an expense of Rs 25 crore. The work will decongest Rasipuram town.
