Nearly seven Russian planes have been destroyed in the firing of Islamic rebels at the Hmeimim Airport on the night of December 31 in Syria, reports Kommersant newspaper.
The newspaper stated in reference to official sources that Russia had launched air raids in Syria in 2015 and since then it is a major disaster in which 10 workers are also injured.
As per the reports, nearly four Sukhoi-24 bombs, two Sukhoi-35 S fighter aircraft and an AN-72 freight aircraft and one ammo depot have been destroyed in the bombing that night.
In December, Russia started to make a permanent base in Hmeimim and even carried out a drill to make naval base in Tartos. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has also announced the removal of his army from Syria. He said that his army in Syria has played a significant role.
