BENGALURU: On Monday noon in Marathahalli, southeast Bengaluru, a 51-year old British national and software engineer with a private company was originate dead inside a private hotel room. Michael K Owen was a superior software analyst with JP Morgan in Global Tech Park.
According to HAL police, Michael was establishing dead inside a bathroom in Courtyard by Marriott on Sarjapur Outer Ring Road. The event came to light around 3pm when hotel staff, attentive by Michael’s driver, goes into the room using a duplicate key and originates him dead in the bathroom. Michael was staying in a single room, 3039, on the III floor of the hotel.
Previous in the morning, Michael's driver made futile attempts to arrive him on his mobile phone. Police officials has also further conveyed that, thinking Michael must be taking rest, the driver went back and returned at 2pm.
Subsequent to repeated calls to his cellphone went unanswered, the driver grew suspicious. Instantly, he alerted the hotel staff. According to police, Michael may have died of cardiac arrest. Police has also further conveyed that, he was lying with his face down and fists clutched. Prima facie, we believed a health-related issue, particularly cardiac arrest.
Ruling out foul play, police conveyed, "The locks are intact. So are his valuables, counting mobile phone, laptop, wallet and cash. No one entered his room," police conveyed, adding Michael was living alone since he arrived in the city on August 16. A JP Morgan India spokesperson has also further conveyed that, we are deeply saddened to hear about Mick Owen.
