Sriganganagar: Police on Tuesday detained five people in Sriganganagar for trying to stroke tension and raise violence in the district after sentencing imprisonment to Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in a rape case. Police officials conveyed that five trying to raise violence by setting public offices on fire.
Though police earlier identified and put them into jail. Bikaner inspector general Bipin Kumar Pandey conveyed that, they had made flawless arrangements for days before Dera chief’s Ram Rahim conviction which prohibited violence in Rajasthan.
Inspector general further conveyed that, we had list of suspects who we thought may create tensions, hence, we arrested them on time. Sriganganagar has numerous Dera followers who visit Dera ashram in close district of Srisa in Haryana.
Police officials commenced a haunt operation in Hanumangarh and Sriganganagar which foiled the Dera follower’s bid to injure public property. Pandey further added that the condition is calm in both districts, but we have not decreased our guards till everything gets normal in Haryana.
