5.3-magnitude quake hits Japan, no tsunami warning issued


An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 hits Japan on Monday, the weather agency said.

The tremors of the earthquake were faced by the people at around 6.59 AM.  On the seismic intensity scale, the earthquake was registered 3 which peaks at 7, one of the leading Chinese News Agency said.

One of the leading Agency of Japan said, the epicentre was located at a latitude of 35.9 degrees north and a longitude of 141.0 degrees east. It added the earthquake struck at a depth of 10 km on Japan’s eastern seaboard.

Currently, No Tsunami warning has been issued in Japan.
