UP: At Least 49 children lost their lives on Monday due to negligence in oxygen supply by the hospital authorities at Farrukhabad government hospital situated in , Uttar Pradesh. The condition in government hospitals of UP is getting worsen day by day. Till now, several children have died in just 30 days.
UP government have detained Chief Medical Officer for their carelessness. Apart from him, the district magistrate has also been eliminated from the post.
On Sunday, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath demanded probe into the deaths of infants at government hospital. He even told District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar to visit hospital to know about the cause of deaths.
An FIR was lodged against the doctors by UP government which included the names of Chief Medical Officer Uma Kant, Medical Superintendent Akhilesh Agarwal and Kailash Kumar.
Officials affirmed, the district magistrate came to the hospital to investigate about the parents’ grievance of medicine and oxygen shortage. During his visit, he couldn’t able to evaluate the total number of children who lost lives as no hospital authority was there.
Few days back, more than 30 children died due to the negligence in oxygen supply at BRD Medical college, Gorakhpur.
