Two people, including a lady, were shot dead by unidentified people in southwest Delhi’s Chhawla range on Thursday evening.
The episode occurred in Shikarpur town when Meena Dhankhad (45) and Sharad (24) were heading towards Gurgaon on their bike and were blocked by some unidentified people, police said.
“At first sight the denounced initially halted them and opened fire on them. After killing them, the aggressors got away from the detect,” a senior cop said.
The zone from where they were passing was segregated and there was nobody around when the occurrence happened, he said.
“The episode became exposed when some bystanders discovered their dead bodies and educated the police around 4 PM. The nearby police reached the spot and rushed the two casualties to a hospital where they were announced brought dead,” the officer said.
A crime forensic team of area was later called and authorities from crime branch additionally went to the crime scene.
“It gives the idea that they were shot from close range. Sharad maintained three bullet wounds, while Meena sustained one,” he said.
Police said it’s a blind murder case and they have not ruled any edge including individual debate, he said.
It is likewise presumed that the double murder could be an aftermath of gang rivalry as the casualty lady’s child alongside his associates was purportedly required in the murder of a man a month ago.
The lady’s child is slipping off, said the officer.
