Two individuals have died in a fire that broke out at a hotel in south Kolkata early toward the beginning of today. The fire broke out at the Golden Parkk Hotel at Ho Chi Minh Sarani, near the US Consulate and British High Commission.
The two hotel visitors endured serious wounds and were raced to hospital but died later.
Police said 30 individuals including the hotel staff have been safeguarded. A leading News organization detailed that six of them who were harmed were moved to the SSKM Hospital.
While the reason for the fire is hazy, nine fire tenders were raced to the site and put out the burst in three hours.
As per police, the fire began in the kitchen of the lodging at around 3 AM and spread to different ranges including the ground floor.
Fire contenders and disaster management officials needed to beak open the glass window sheets of the hotel for the thick smoke to go out, an officer said
A couple of them were protected utilizing steps while others were guided outside the hotel by rescue team, he said.
“Aside from hotel visitors, there were workers who were stuck inside,” the officer said.
