In the lobby area, the huge reptile was ensnared within a turnstile (automated gate). Later, it was evacuated.

However, the rambling site of the Secretariat is no outsider to such strange guests.

“Last year, we rescued a 3.5-ft-long cobra from the Secretariat,” a member of rescuer team affirmed.

Kartick Satyanarayan, co-founder, Wildlife SOS affirmed, “Monitor reptiles are non-venomous and represent no danger to people. Because of nonstop deforestation and extension of human home these to a great extent misjudged reptiles are frequently compelled to meander out of their characteristic living spaces looking for nourishment and shelter.”
