19 Lakh Snatched From Bank In Delhi’s Rohini


In a daring daylight robbery, two armed motorcycle-borne assailants escaped with over Rs. 19 lakh from a money van on Friday in the wake of shooting at one of the bank staff who had come to refill an ATM in North-west Delhi, police said.

The two aggressors moved toward the money van of Union Bank of India in Rohini’s Sector-24 zone around 2 pm. One of them chilli powder in the bank staff’s eyes and grabbed the money sack.

“They additionally shot at one of the staff. Security protect Brijesh Singh fired two rounds at them however they run away,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Rishi Pal said.

The harmed, Naveen, was admitted to a nearby hospital, Mr Pal said.

Police has constituted six groups to capture the looters and is examining closed circuit TV footage from close-by shops.
