100 missing, 91 dead in mudslides : Sri Lanka

At least 91 individuals dead and more than 100 missing in Sri Lanka, due to flooding and mudslides activated by storm rains.

Around 20,000 have been constrained from their homes in the south and west of the nation.

Military boats and helicopters have been sent to help to save operations.

The flooding is accepted to be the most exceedingly awful since May 2003 when a comparatively capable south‑west storm destroyed 10,000 homes and slaughtered 250 individuals.

Sri Lanka’s Disaster Management Center says the loss of life was ascending as reports sifted in from distant zones.
